What are the Sustainable Development Goals?
"Global Compact" of the United Nations is a project that unites several people towards a single purpose: the promotion of a sustainable global economy. Global Pact offers for the first time the possibility of addressing the critical aspects of globalization in a perspective of international collaboration, which becomes a single community and seeks to find a reconciliation between the interests of individuals and those of peoples and the environment. It was first proposed in 1999 at the World Economic Forum in Davos by former United Nations Secretary Kofi Annan. So, starting from July 2000, the Global Compact has come to life involving so far more than 18,000 companies from 160 countries around the world, giving life to a new reality of collaboration.
