Antonio Sada & figli
The Sustainability report
Sustainability, of which the Group has been a spokesperson and promoter for years, has become the common denominator and strategic factor for the development of the future activities of the Group’s companies. In fact, in 2018 the historic company Antonio Sada & figli spa, presented its first Sustainability Report committing to halving its run-ins by 2030.
These are the key points of a reality that makes environmental and social sustainability its strength: promoting the well-being of employees, improving health and safety, encouraging a responsible supply chain, reduce environmental impacts and water and energy consumption, increase customer satisfaction, support the social and economic development of the community. It is a great commitment to which all employees are called to respond, collaborating more and more closely with each other, with suppliers, customers and the whole community. All together to create an even more responsible and sustainable packaging.
Sada Group
Sada presents its first Group Sustainability Report. The document, drawn up according to the GRI Standards, was created with the aim of the advanced sustainability standards already applied to some companies, to all the companies of the Group, both in the Corrugated Division and in the Folding Carton Division. The goal is to reduce CO2e emissions by 50% per ton of finished product by 2030. It is an ambitious goal that we can achieve by collaborating with customers, suppliers and our main stakeholders.

Photovoltaic Powerplants
In 2011 we installed two photovoltaic power plants. 11.270 panels per una copertura totale di 30.000 m2 and for 2,7 MW. This commitment helps us to avoid the emission of 0,6 g CO2 per kW in the environment.
LCA studies and Environmental Product Declarations (EPD®) of Sada Group

The studies are aimed at identifying the potential environmental impacts associated with the total production, both in corrugated and in solid board and microflute, in order to verify any opportunities for improving environmental performance; there were also, compared to the average production, the benefits and impact reductions resulting from the adoption of the short chain and proximity recycling associated with the production of GreenBoxX®. The Environmental Product Declarations of the Corrugated Division and the Folding Carton Division have been made available and certified, published in the Swedish system “The International EPD System” at the website www.environdec.it.
